Just like that comic-con fans, the annual event held in San Diego packed with stars, events, panels and more has finally come to a close — and we’re pretty sad about it.
The four-day convention from July 21-24 had thousands in attendance including writers, directors, stars, and everything in between. Oh, and never forget all those in cosplay. The event never seems to disappoint with all of the exciting nerd culture news it brings us. No Comic Con is complete without surprises, guests and all around nerd debauchery.
If you missed what happened over the weekend, we’ve got you covered. From trailers to panels to fan and star encounters, here are the moments we wish to never forget:
Eddie Redmayne giving fans wands at the Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them screening
Redmayne and the Warner Bros. staff handed out thousands of wands to each fan waiting to see the new trailer for the upcoming J.K Rowling film– and even did a “Lumos Maxima” spell. 100 POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR.
Rihanna starring in Bates Motel’s Fifth and FINAL season
Bates Motel shocked the fans at Comic Con following the news that the show’s season 5 will be the A&E’s shows last season. Slightly making up for the sad news, we learned that Rihanna will portray Marion Crane. We just know she’ll be TOO GOOD.
ALL the new trailers. Here are a few:
Kong: Skull Island

Justice League (Special footage)

Some spend anywhere from weeks before the event to a year preparing for the convention so it comes as little surprise that everyone looked INCREDIBLE.
The Vampire Diaries ‘s emotional end
Hear us out. We truly, truly loved this show — but all good things must come to an end, as does this series. Call us crazy, but we have our fingers crossed that Nina Dobrev will return for the show’s final season in some sort of capacity.
The cast photos
We’d be lying if we said we weren’t obsessed with Entertainment Weekly’s cast photos. JUST LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY ARE!
The Suicide Squad signing
WAIT…. there’s more:

The cherry on top? Henry Cavill showed up for the fun
We finally know who Spider-Man’s upcoming villain will be
Spider-Man: Homecoming, the third reboot in the Spider-Man franchise, is currently filming and Peter Parker — we mean actor Tom Holland — announced who the villain will be in the upcoming film: The Vulture.
When this happened at the Once Upon A Time panel
We love Once Upon A Time here at ANDPOP, so this moment is EVERYTHING.
John Barrowman, because OBVIOUSLY
The man that everyone looks forward to seeing yearly at Comic-Con is Arrow star John Barrowman. Every year we can count on his hijinks and he never dissapoints.
